Atlanta Falcons’ Mike Johnson is ambulanced of practice field
Mike Johnson who is the right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons was injured today during practice. Johnson was injured during the 9 on 7 inside run drills. Mike Johnson left the Atlanta Falcons training area by ambulance and while there is not confirmation on the extent of his injuries they do appear to be serious.
As some may recall, Mike Johnson was scheduled as the starting right tackle for the 2013-2014 season taking the place of Tyson Clabo who had been with the Atlanta Falcons since 2006 and is now with the Miami Dolphins As long a Mike Johnson is unable to play, Lamar Holmes who is the number 2 for the Atlanta Falcons right tackle will have to step in for Johnson.
How will the Atlanta Falcons fare this season after losing Tyson Clabo to the Miami Dolphins and then losing Mike Johnson to an injury? While Lamar Holmes from Southern Miss may have been a third round pick in the 2012 NFL draft, many may feel that he is not ready to play a starting position. This reservation stems from the fact that Holmes only played one game last season which was also his rookie season. Falcons fans are going to just have to wait to see how long Johnson is going to be out of action and in the meantime the Falcons are going to have to work Holmes a bit more during practice.
