Dan Jennings takes gruesome line drive to head
The Florida Marlins‘ left-hander Dan Jennings took a very gruesome line drive to the head on Thursday.
After the game, the team announced that a CT scan on Jennings was negative. He was diagnosed with a concussion and was kept in a hospital overnight for observation.
Jennings spent the night at a Pittsburgh hospital and been put on the seven-day concussion list.
Jennings was hit by Jordy Mercer‘s liner during the seventh inning with the Pirates already up 5-0.
“Everything checked out fine'” manager Mike Redmond said. “The good news is he was cleared to fly home. That tells you a lot about how he is doing.”
